3-fold Ministry at the IL Youth Center

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT THE ILLINOIS YOUTH CENTER! JAIL-MAIL from Chaplain Tom,  NEW LIFE CORRECTIONS MINISTRY                   at WAYSIDE CROSS MINISTRIES, AURORA IL        April 30 , 2012   TODAY'S YOUTH - especially children of today's inmates -  WILL FILL TOMORROW'S PRISONS! BIBLE STUDY at the ILLINOIS YOUTH CENTER   Thursdays, 1 - 2:30 PM   Every Thursday, 10 to 20 teenage boys welcome Chaplain Tom into their world to have a Bible Study.  What a honor!   The boys we meet with are all "newcomers" to the Youth Center, and it's a great opportunity to introduce them to the Christian message - the Gospel - that we're so privileged to bring into the facility.   We also get to aquaint all the boys with the availability of our DADS' CLASSES, offered on Monday evenings.   If you like to join the Thursday afternoon BIBLE STUDY, you'd sure be welcomed! MOVIE NIGHTS at the ILLINOIS YOUTH CENTER 1st Thursdays, 5:30 - 8 PM   Once a month, on the first Thursday evening, we have MOVIE NIGHT at the Illinois Youth Center in St. Charles.  We show movies with a Christian message to a hungry crowd of teenaged boys.    Hungry!  As we get to know some of these boys, we can see a spiritual hunger in them. We also take snacks to satisfy their teenaged hunger for food.   We're looking forward to showing COURAGEOUS! It goes well with the DADS' CLASSES we bring to the boys every Monday evening.   If you'd like to join us on MOVIE NIGHT, we'd love to have you along! Please contact Chaplain Tom.  Just your presence is an encouragement to the boys!   DADS' CLASSES at the ILLINOIS YOUTH CENTER Mondays, 6:30 - 8 PM These boys are only teenagers, but many of them are already Dads!  We offer them the same DADS CLASSES we present in the County Jails & State Prisons, but we do "slow down the pace" a bit.  We find the kids have a spiritual hunger, but often need the basics of Christianity explained more fully. Sometimes I liken the experience to "herding cats." We need more herdsmen!  If you'd like to join us co-leading the DADS' CLASSES, please contact Chaplain Tom.  You must have your Pastor's recommendation.
