Student Prayer Requests

Greetings

Friday night brought to a close classroom portion of SOCPM's ministry year 2012.  To me it still sees like it was a short while ago everyone was clamoring about Y2K, giving testament to how time goes by so quickly.

God blessed SOCPM, Michelle and me abundantly in 2012 and trust in 2013 he will even more so. I hope as you reflect back on 2012, you too can see God blessing you and your loved ones.

To all have a safe and blessed New Year.

Glory to Him and Him alone.

Student Prayer Requests

Greetings

I hope all of you had a blessed Thanksgiving.

We concluded Discipleship 101 at Dixon with the distribution of certificates and a discussion on possible curriculum for the next class scheduled to start in January 2013 along with Renewing Fatherhood.

Despite passes being issued it appears the some of the correctional officers were not letting men attend Renewing Fatherhood at Sheridan. It may have been because of reduced staff for the holiday.  Five men did attend and instead of teaching the scheduled topic of relationships we discussed some of the hardest trials they have encountered while being incarcerated.

There was no issue with passed for the evening's Discipleship 100 at Sheridan as we discussed prayer. Because there being no class next week on November 30, the class laid hands on Jesse who is scheduled to be paroled December 5th and was attending his last class.

Glory to Him and Him alone.

Scott

No classes next week as I will be out-of-town.

Student Prayer Requests

Greetings

Renewing Fatherhood at Dixon is on hiatus until the beginning of 2013 and the current session of Discipleship 101 at Dixon will draw to a close the day before Thanksgiving but things at Sheridan are revving up, especially Discipleship 100.

Class discussion in the latter one is really a great joy as I see the men so intensely wanting to learn more about God. Each class is a true blessing for me and to be used by God in such a way brings such great joy. Our God is awesome!

The joy would not be complete though if I did not have the encouragement of knowing that all of you are lifting these men's prayer request to that awesome magnificent glorious God of ours.

Glory to Him and Him alone.

Scott

David - Pray for my cellmate Robert. He struggles daily with depression and concentrating on his past mistakes. He is a believer, but focuses on the past instead of looking with joy on Jesus Christ, his Savior and Lord. In some ways I do the same sometimes, but I still seek to serve and obey my King Jesus Christ. Thank you and God bless you! Titus 2:11 - 15
