MASTER'S TOUCH Our Aftercare Program
At Wayside Cross Ministries in Aurora, we have a 93-bed, Bible-based, Christ-centered, residential, recovery program. It is a privilege to be able to offer this transitional "aftercare" to men being released from jail & prison.
The first six months (Levels 1 & 2) is classes, chapel, & counseling, along with good, old-fashioned work. Every one is part of the team!
After graduating from Level 2 at the end of six months, you may leave, or you can go on to Level 3 (a residential job & more classes), or Level 4 (an outside job). As needed, you may stay with us up to two years.

INMATES REACHING INMATES FOR CHRIST!
"Answers in Genesis" in Jail
With so many inmates in our jails, it's just impossible for the Chaplain, or even the volunteers, to touch every inmate. Many of the inmates request to visit with the Chaplain, and many more request to go to Bible Study classes, or Dads' Classes, or Worship Services, but, too many just sit in the "dayrooms" and watch TV & play cards. How do you reach them for Christ?
To the inmates who come to the Bible Classes and do come to know Jesus, I show them Ken Ham videos on Creationism. The inmates get excited about their faith! They get more confidence in the Bible and in their own ability to "stand up for Jesus!" It's practical apologetics! They evangelize their fellow inmates!

The Answers in Genesis ministry has been very generous to allow us to copy their material for use in the jails. The inmates are growing in their faith and reaching their fellow inmates for Christ!

PRAISES & PRAYER REQUESTS
•Please pray for the Kendall County Jail staff, as they're having some difficulty in getting ready to start their new & improved volunteer program.
•Please pray for the Illinois Prison Counselors who have expressed a desire to host our 2-Day "Dads Classes" Seminar, that they'll be able to receive the necessary permissions to invite us.
•Praise God for the growth of the New Life Corrections Ministry, and please pray God will provide increased income to allow the hiring of an assistant for Chaplain Tom.
•Please pray that as more & more inmates are exposed to the Gospel, that God will be drawing more of them to life-changing faith in Jesus Christ.

STATEVILLE PRISON MINISTRY
The Literature Distribution Ministry is in the "Intake Unit," where the newly-sentenced inmates are received into the Illinois Prison System. This ministry has indeed proven fruitful! On the 3rd Saturday of the month, a group of us visit 600 - 800 inmates, cell-to-cell, bringing the Gospel in word, action & literature. Rarely does an inmate turn down the opportunity for us to pray for them.
We've made some recent changes in the requirements for participants. We're now limited to 60 volunteers total, so we have a Waiting List of those wishing to join us. We're now requiring all Literature Distributors to actually enter the Prison at least twice per year, or your failure to actively participate will make room for someone on the waiting list.
The Feb. 5th Literature Distributors visited about 600 inmates!

Now in their 11th year, a group of Aurora Christians are working to bring the "biker crowd" to Jesus! May their tribe increase!
Are they "typical" Christians? What do you think? Of course they're not typical! But they are Bible-believing lovers of Jesus!

• A minivan for Chaplain Tom (many miles between jails has his old one requiring frequent & expensive repair).
• The One-Day Seminar to be well-attended & beneficial to us ambassadors for Christ and the inmates & staff we serve.
• A job for recentlly-released Bill. A new Christian, he's living in St. Charles IL, and is experienced in construction, specifically as an ironworker.

Greg - I pray that my kids come to love me & forgive me for hurting them.
Marcus - I need prayer for God to continue to keep me strong & on the right path; that He keep my Mom under His wings as she prepares for surgery for a tumor in her head; that He will keep my family safe.
John - God has just blessed me with a breakthrough in my case, and I ask for prayer that my "one foot out the door" will be joined by my other foot so I can go home to my family.
Terence - That I can walk with God, and have victory over my temper & frustration. That God will watch over my family, and help with my case.
Anonymous - Please pray for my kids, my wife & myself, as well as my extended family.
Larry - Please pray that I can focus more on the Bible, that I can get correspondence with my grown children started, that my relationship with them can be repaired, and our hearts open to one another.
